For programmer Dr Alice Skinhead, the idea reaches beyond familiar characters or psychedelic imagery. It is about a film’s relationship with reality: its distance, its perspective, its freedom to see things differently.
The festival welcomes that freedom in many forms—fiction, documentary, shorts, features and video art.
